I was lucky enough to score tickets to Yo Gabba Gabba live for half price, so Chase and I decided to take Owen. Since he loved the tv show and watches it constantly. Owen decided today was the day to redecorate the bathroom of our Park City condo we are staying in. I think he did an excellent job. Too bad for him, mommy caught him when he had only unrolled half the roll. Imagine how much better his redecorating could have been with a full roll of paper.

Chase recently bought Owen some real golf clubs. Since every time he saw a club or a ball he would go crazy. He loves golf! He loves his clubs and can say club "bub", and ball "ba". He is learning quickly and can hit a ball on his own. Enjoy the cuteness.

We've spent a lot of time at various doctors, and appointments over the last few months. We've now met our deductible , and are half way to our out of pocket for the year, here's why. Chase had weakness in his right fingers around the beginning of July, so we went to our family Doctor. He had an MRI which showed something in his brain. He was tested for MS to see if that's what is showing up. So

We took Owen out to the driving range a few days ago after Chase had gotten home from work. He loved it! He just crawled around and played with the golf balls, spent a lot of time trying to climb into the ball basket. He even learned how to hit a ball, and how to drive the cart. Golf clubs are in his near future, as soon as he can learn to walk.

Our tiny boy hit his 12 month mark on May 14. He is growing slowly, but healthy none the less. We went in to see the urologist in April, and found out that his bad kidney is gone. I left Owen with his grandma the other day, so I could go to the dry pack cannery. He refused to fall asleep while she was holding him. Instead he got down to play, was enjoying climbing in the swing, and fell asleep. This doesn't happen very often, he usually has to be swaddled up pretty tight and rocked to sleep. Guess he was exhausted from all the playing.

A few weekends ago Chase and I were able to head up to Brighton for some snowboarding, or in my case some butt sliding. I hadn't been for over 2 years, and so I spent a lot of time falling on my behind. After listening to some of the ski instructors working with the little kids, I finally figured it out. If you don't look at your feet or the ground right in front of you, you don't fall. Go figure

Yep that's right, Owen has 2 teeth. We couldn't be happier that they finally came through. He sure gets grumpy when he's teething, and doesn't sleep at night. Owen learned to army crawl over a month ago. He still hasn't learned to crawl up on his knees. He occasionally tries to get up on his tippy toes and crawl that way. At Owens 4 month check up the pediatrician looked at Owens growth chart and said everything looked fine, even though Owen was under the curve he was following right along it. Our little man is 4 months old, it's crazy how time flies when we are having so much fun. We are head over heels in love with this little guy. He is growing, just slowly. As of his 4 month appointment he is 9 pounds 14 ounces, and 23 and 1/2 inches tall. He sleeps great at night, usually going to bed between 8 and 9 PM and waking up between 6 and 7 AM. We were able to take a week long vacation the end of August to Bear Lake with Chases family. It was lots of fun, and we spent a lot of time just hanging out on the beach. I was able to get out on the boat a few times, as Brena and Camden were there and willing to watch Owen for me. I look forward to next year when Owen can actually play in the water and hopefully enjoy the lake a little more.

On Monday I had to take Owen up to Primary Children's for some tests on his kidneys, not sure what the names of them are in medical terms though. The first test was to check the function of his kidneys, they shot some radioactive dye into his system and then put him in this special machine that could see the dye. Owen was a pretty wiggly baby in my belly. Owen Kristoffer decided today was the day to join our family. He was born this morning at 5:37 am, weighing 5 pounds 11 ounces, and 19 inches long. He has a ton of hair and looks almost just like his daddy. We are so in love, and can't wait for everyone to meet him.

Chase and I met with the specialist again yesterday. On our way to the appointment we said that we were only going to get good news, and there would be no more bad news. Thankfully we were right and our appointment was great, the best one we've had so far. We found out that the fluid level around the baby is up again. It's now at 11.5 cm (which is a healthy level even for a normal pregnancy).

Sorry everyone for the lack of posting on our part. After my last post everything got pretty busy. Things have calmed down now. Today we went on a hike up East Canyon. Because none of us were really in the shape to do this hike, we probably went half way before deciding to turn around. It took a little over an hour when we decided to turn around. Over all the hike was fun and there were plenty of things to take pictures of. Kyle's fiancee Chiaki is finally here! It was a long 8 months for Kyle. Kyle was able to go to Japan, and pick her up. They arrived home this last Thursday, and we have been spending a lot of time with them. We are so excited to have her as part of our family, and learn some new things from a different culture. Welcome Home Chiaki!!
