Today after Chase and I got home from the dog park, I wanted a smoothie, or Popsicle. Chase suggested that I make Frozen Hot Chocolate, it's one of our favorite treats. Now I've never been to New York and had the frozen hot chocolate at Serendipity so I have nothing to compare it to. We usually don't have whipped cream to put on top. I also like to use the ice from Sonic if I have some, it blends up better.
Frozen hot chocolate
6 half ounce pieces of a variety of your favorite chocolates
2 teaspoons of store-bought hot chocolate mix
1 ½ Tablespoons of sugar
1 ½ cups of milk
3 cups of ice
Whipped cream
Chocolate shavings
Chop the chocolate into small pieces. Place in top of double boiler over simmering water, (or melt in microwave using 10 second increments and stirring after each 10 seconds.) Stir occasionally until melted. Add the hot chocolate mix and sugar. Stir until completely melted. Remove from heat and slowly add ½ cup of milk until smooth. Cool to room temperature.
In blender, place the remaining cup of milk, the room-temperature chocolate mixture and the ice. Blend on high speed until smooth and the consistency of a frozen daiquiri. Pour into a giant goblet and top with the whipped cream and chocolate shavings.

Happy 3 day Birthday to....Me
It was my birthday on Friday, I spent the day prepping for the boutique that Brena and I were doing, and trying to sell things. Speaking of selling, we only sold a few things, barely made back our entrance fee, and came home with more stuff than we should have. Sorry no pictures Elaine, I forgot. Our booth was pretty cute though. On a happy note I won a super cute tee shirt, and Brena bought me a really cute bracelet. Oh and I came home to this...A box of 18 Godiva truffles, and this beautiful yellow/green orchid. Chase sure knows how to win my heart. (Sorry for the crappy photography)
Saturday Brena and I went to a bridal shower for a cousins fiancee, she's a really cute girl and we are excited to have her in our family. I only wish we actually saw our cousins more and knew them better. My friend Pat came into town from Wisconsin for a visit, so he joined us for a birthday dinner (It was his birthday on the 15th) at The Cheesecake Factory. It was good, but we left without having any cheese cake. I couldn't bring myself to pay $7.00 for a piece of cake.
Pat, myself, and Chase at Cheese Cake Factory. Chase didn't want to ask someone to take our picture so he did it himself.
Today was my birthday dinner with Chase's family. We had my favorite shredded pork tacos, and delicious strawberry short cake from Market street grill. Guess when you make cakes for everyone elses birthdays, someone has to make yours it just happened to be Market Street this year. Even though I requested a simple angle food cake with strawberries and whipped cream.
I wasn't able to get a picture of the cake before it was cut into, everyone was so eager to have a piece and get out of here. So by the time I walked upstairs all the candles were lit and the singing began.
Gus enjoyed the extra whipped cream off my plate, he seems to like these birthday things.

I've just spent the last few hours updating the Etsy store. I still have a few hours to go. If anyone's interested here are some of the bow's I've done recently, they will all be for sale on Etsy, and at the boutique on Friday.

Family Night
On the first Sunday of every month, we get together with my family for Family night. One person is in charge of the main part of the meal, and everyone else is assigned something to bring to go with it. We have a lesson and a fun activity usually. Other than that we just sit around and visit and enjoy each others company. I got my camera out to take some pictures of the happenings yesterday. My nieces Camden and Teagan took over from there. Here are some of the pictures that came from the experience. The two cute little girls are Camden and Teagan.
