My new bff

Tubby

We are staying here in Arizona with our cousins Josh and Elaine. Apparently their dog Tubby loves blondes, I'm no exception. Last night when we walked in the door he went crazy, and then spent the rest of the evening laying in my lap letting me scratch his head and give him loves. As soon as he woke up this morning, he jumped up and gave me some loves and wanted me to give him some back. He's now laying next to me on the couch (even though he's not supposed to be on the couch, Elaine was making an exception for him). I guess the one draw back of this sweet puppers is that he smells gross all the time. Elaine says that they get him groomed, or give him a bath and the smell never really fully goes away.
Thanks for letting me be your friend Tubby!

No laughing at my outfit anyone. Yes i know I have on pink striped pajama bottoms, and a teal polka dot and black shirt. Even if what you have on doesn't match, just put on some high heels and it makes it all better. Sorry high heels not pictures with this lovely outfit :)

Arizona

Hello from warm Mesa, Arizona. We made the 12 hour trek down today for Danny (Chases cousin) and Emma's sealing tomorrow afternoon. After the sealing we will make another 2 hour trek to Tucson for the reception on Saturday.
We'll head home on Sunday sometime, and will be sad to come home to the snow. It's sure been nice to not have to have a coat on at all times.
I forgot to take some pictures when we got here and it was sunny outside. So you get pictures of us laying in bed watching tv. Chase can't seem to be normal in any of them so here you go funny face Chase.

New Hair

After seeing the movie bride wars, I decided I wanted to try bangs again. Thanks whomever does Kate Hudsons hair in the movie. They are supposed to be more straight across, but this was the best picture I could take of myself. I still don't especially like the picture but just for show.
Thanks Jeannette for the haircut, you did a great job.

Dang Birds

Head over to my sister Brenas blog and read the story about the little birdy. Of course I sound like a jerk for not knowing what to do. So I'll just say sorry to Brena again, and tell her I love her!

Learning to Snow Board

Chase and I in our snow gear.

Chase asked me this year if I would like to learn to snow board, so I had something to do with him in the winter, and because he wanted to get back into it. He figures if I'm with him, I can't be too mad when he is gone all day. Since being married I have learned to golf, and wake board. I thought it would be fun to try. Our cousin Parker is also learning this year, so it's been fun for Chase to have 2 people to teach.
We went to sports authority and found a board for $80 so we decided to get it for me, and then went out to a mountain so chase could help Parker and I out. We also had Chases little brother Connor with us, and he needed to show off. Here are our last runs down the hill, in the end we all fell, (I only fell like 3 times, but had a really hard time standing up on my own.) but it was a good time.
Sorry about my heavy breathing in all the videos, my face was cold, but the inside of my coat smelled like an old lady, and I couldn't put my face down in there to keep me warm. It's been washed since and doesn't smell as much like an old lady, I think it will take one more washing.

Me riding down the hill, great landing!

Chase, jump/falling. :)

I couldn't get all four videos to load, so you don't get to see Parkers awesome fall, or Connors jump.

The happy couple

I thought I would post some pictures of the happy couple, and Chiaki showing off her ring. Since Kyle is back from Japan, and the picture I had posted was taken a while ago.

Can we say beautiful, she wasn't used to such a big ring and kept playing with it Kyle said.
I think they will make beautiful babies, maybe I'm just bias.
Congratulations guys, we really do love you. Here's to JulAugSeptembrish!

They are engaged....finally!!

Congratulations go out today to Chases brother Kyle and his beautiful fiancee Chiaki.

Kyle was able to go to Japan a few days after Christmas to propose. Now comes the long process of filling out all the paperwork and getting Chiaki here. We are so excited to have her as part of our family, and can't wait for this summer!

The brick

Margaret had this on her blog, and I thought it was a great story. I hope we can all just slow down a bit.

A young and successful executive was traveling down a neighborhood street, going a bit too fast in his new Jaguar.. He was watching for kids darting out from between parked cars and slowed down

when he thought he saw something. As his car passed, no children appeared. Instead, a brick smashed into the Jag's side door! He slammed on the brakes and backed the Jag back to the spot where the brick had been thrown. The angry driver

then jumped out of the car, grabbed the nearest kid and pushed him up against

a parked car shouting, 'What was that all about and who are you? Just what the heck are you doing? That's a new car and that brick you threw is going to cost a lot of money. Why did you do it?' The young boy was apologetic. 'Please, mister...please, I'm sorry but I didn't know what else to do,' He pleaded. 'I threw the brick because no one else would stop...' With tears dripping down his face and off his chin, the youth pointed to a spot just around a parked car. 'It's my brother, 'he said 'He rolled off the curb and fell out of his wheelchair and I can't lift him up.'

Now sobbing, the boy asked the stunned executive, 'Would you please help me get him back into his wheelchair? He's hurt and he's too heavy for me.'

Moved beyond words, the driver tried to swallow the rapidly swelling lump in his throat. He hurriedly lifted the handicapped boy back into the wheelchair, then took out a linen handkerchief and dabbed at the fresh scrapes and cuts. A quick look told him everything was going to be okay. 'Thank you and may God bless you,' the grateful child told the stranger. Too shook up for words, the man simply watch ed the boy! push his wheelchair-bound brother down the sidewalk toward their home.

It was a long, slow walk back to the Jaguar. The damage was very noticeable, but the driver never bothered to repair the dented side door. He kept the dent there to remind him of this message: 'Don't go through life so fast that someone has to throw a brick at you to get your attention!' God whispers in our souls and speaks to our hearts. Sometimes when we don't have time to listen, He has to throw a brick at us. It's our choice to listen or not.

Happy New Year

Happy new years everyone! I hope your New years eve was more eventful than ours was. Chase spent the whole day playing video games with his cousin and brother. I spent the whole day in bed with this lovely cold, amongst other things that resulted from the miscarriage. I feel like a pharmacy right now. Here's to my third antibiotic, and a healthy new year.
