I'm a bad blogger

I don't mean to be such a terrible blogger, but truth be told I haven't done anything exciting in quite some time. I've been on bed rest since the end of October. Hopefully I'll be able to do more after my doctors appointment on the 18th.
I was able however to get some new things posted on etsy if you'd like to check them out. Some might even be great stocking stuffers.

Busy Busy

Sorry everyone for the lack of posting on our part. After my last post everything got pretty busy. Things have calmed down now. So here's a recap of what we've been up to.
I spent the month making a wedding veil, ring pillow, garter, flower girl basket, bouquet for bridals, and two wedding cakes, as well as a few custom orders for etsy. Somewhere in there I also canned peaches with Brena.

Chase has been studying like a mad man (he's taking a Japanese class), working hard, and taking pictures like crazy.

Kyle and Chiaki were married on Saturday, and we are so excited to have Chiaki as part of our family. I've never seen Kyle so happy or in love since I married Chase. Congratulations guys!!!

What would you do?

With three huge bins of apples. (The third one was half done when I remembered to take the pictures) A crazy contraption like this
A camp stove, and a few pans
Your almost sister in-law, your sister and niece.
Of course you make apple sauce. Doesn't it just look tasty.

Labor Day

Today we went on a hike up East Canyon. Because none of us were really in the shape to do this hike, we probably went half way before deciding to turn around. It took a little over an hour when we decided to turn around. Over all the hike was fun and there were plenty of things to take pictures of. Here are some of the favorites of mine that I took along along of some of us hiking. Enjoy.

This should kinda catch me up on my picture of the day for a bit. LOL

Welcome Home

Kyle's fiancee Chiaki is finally here! It was a long 8 months for Kyle. Kyle was able to go to Japan, and pick her up. They arrived home this last Thursday, and we have been spending a lot of time with them. We are so excited to have her as part of our family, and learn some new things from a different culture. Welcome Home Chiaki!!

The Bear Lake Open

We were sitting on the beach on Friday, with not much going on. The boys decided they were going to get out some golf clubs and play a little beach golf. They dug a hole, drew a line for the green, and stuck in a little stick for a flag. Brena and I took it upon ourselves to "build" them a golf course, complete with a trophy for the winner at the end. It was only 5 holes, but they had fun playing for about 3 hours. Sorry the pictures are a bit crappy and you can't really see how fun the holes are. Hole 1, also referred to as the crater. Sponsored by Fritos corn chips.
It was a big hole in the ground with another smaller hole for the cup.
Hole 2, sponsored by Doritos spicy nacho chips.
Two big holes on either side of a mound of sand with the cup and flag on top of the mound.
Hole 3, sponsored by Lays potato chips.
Some bumpy sand with a bunch of roughage around the cup and flag.
Hole 4, Sponsored by Doritos Cool Ranch chips.
Actually the first hole the boys made, just a big circle drawn on pretty smooth ground. Brena and I added a few rocks.
Hole 5, sponsored by Lays sour cream and onion potato chips.
A big flat mound of sand, with a moat full of water around it. This hole was pretty close to the water, and a few balls even ended up in the lake.
Chase hitting his ball out of the lake.
Guy hitting his ball out of the water.
Just showing the mud splash that Guy made when hitting his ball out of the lake.
Guy was the winner of the Bear Lake Open, here he is holding his trophy and winning club.

Bear Lake

We had a great time at bear lake, we spent a lot of time at the lake, and swimming in the pool at the resort. I don't think any of us got dressed most days, just went from our pajamas to our swim wear, and then back to our pajamas. Here are some photos of Chase and I wake boarding. Chase is usually the one behind the camera, so he took all the pictures of me.The beautiful Lake. I'm sad to be home now. I'm already excited for next years trip.
Getting ready to go, just need the rope.
Outside the wake, the water was pretty smooth that day.
Falling, yes I'm a wuss and have to plug my nose.
Outside the wake again, I have a hard time getting back inside.
Inside the wake, trying to stay on the calmer water.

Goofing off on the beach. I think I was in the process of digging a hole or something with the baby shovel. My face looks silly, but I still like this picture.

Chase jumping the wake, this is actually a progression of pictures made into a video.

Bad Bloggers

Apparently Chase and I aren't the best at blogging lately. But truth be told we really haven't been up to much. Chase finished up the summer semester of school, and has been doing a lot of portrait shoots for family. If anyone needs any portraits done, he'd love to do them for you, just let us know. I have been sewing like crazy making aprons to sell on my Etsy site. Tomorrow we are off to Bear Lake for a week with the family, should be a good time (Hopefully when we're back we'll have some fun posts). After that it will be back to school for Chase, and helping plan a wedding for me.

photo of the day 21/365

Brena and Camden came over today to go swimming at the neighbors house. Camden was throwing a fit the whole time I was there. This is her after she got out of the pool and rapped in a towel. You can tell she was not too happy.

Photo of the day 20/365

Today, Kim and I went downtown to scout spots to do engagement photos for my brother Kyle, and his fiancee Chiaki. This is one place we were around. We will be back downtown in about a month to do the engagements after Chiaki gets here from Japan.

Photo of the day 19/365

Yesterday we went to Brena and Jered's house for dinner and movies. Camden was being her crazy self and, running around chasing the dogs. I snapped this picture as she was coming around the table. Its always fun to have Camden around being her crazy self.
