Update on our baby boy

We met with the specialist again yesterday. Things seem to be looking up in some ways, and down in a few other ways.
The good news is that the fluid level around the baby seem to be up, almost by twice as much as was there three weeks ago. Baby is growing and thriving, and moving around a lot. His heart seems to be healthy. And I may not have to go into the hospital in a few short weeks.
The bad news. Babies left kidney has something called Multicystic Dysplastic Kidney. Thankfully his right kidney seems to be functioning great, and he can survive with only one kidney. The other concerning thing is that there is only one artery and one vein in his umbilical cord. There are usually two arteries. The doctor told us they see this occasionally, and usually the babies are just born smaller. It didn't seem like a huge concern to him.
We are blessed, and appreciate all the prayers and visits on our behalf. We are being blessed with a miracle. Thank you everyone for all your love and concern.
We'll head back to see the specialist in a few weeks. We are hoping, and praying for no more problems, and that we'll only have to worry about the problems that we already know about.

It's so great to hear that things are okay with the baby. I hope those little problems are the only ones you have! Aren't ultrasound pictures so fun?
