Health Update

You can read the first part of the journey HERE

Chase had another MRI the first part of November, and a meeting with the Neurosurgeon. We learned that the tumor wasn't a tumor, but a lesion and had gone down in size and was smaller that the first MRI in July. Oh happy day! The neurosurgeon said that since it had gone down in size and there were no more symptoms the he wanted to see Chase in a year (November 2012). He also wanted Chase to go back to see the Neurologist. She decided to do one more test to test for MS, and that came back negative also. So she is leaning more to it being something called ADEM, which is a one time occurrence that mimics MS. So unless Chase has more symptoms, she doesn't want to see him again for 6 months (May 2012). He'll have another MRI and we'll go from there.

So for now we are just hoping and praying that no more symptoms come, and he will continue to be monitored. Thank you all for your prayers and concern!

Health

We've spent a lot of time at various doctors, and appointments over the last few months. We've now met our deductible , and are half way to our out of pocket for the year, here's why.
Chase had weakness in his right fingers around the beginning of July, so we went to our family Doctor. He had an MRI which showed something in his brain. He was tested for MS to see if that's what is showing up. So far all the tests have been negative. But that's not ruled out all the way yet. 10% of people diagnosed with MS have negative results. He had another MRI a few weeks ago to see if anything had changed. The "tumor" has grown a tiny bit (could also be wrong measuring). But since all his strength was back in his arm and hand the neurosurgeon decided that he didn't want to do a biopsy now, as it could cause more problems for Chase right now. He will see the neurosurgeon again in November, have another MRI, and we will go from there. Whether it be just a biopsy and leave the tumor alone, or a biopsy and removal of the "tumor".

The next big thing

I don't know how many readers know that Chase has decided to become a professional photographer, and with that decision, we are proud to announce that his new photography website is finally up and running. It's been a long time coming. We would love for you to check it out (the link is below), and feel free to give critiques or raves. Or if you need photos taken, please don't hesitate to have Chase do them.

Your Eyes

Back before Chase and I got married he wrote me this song. I instantly fell in love and made him try and record it for me, it wasn't very good quality. Well last night he re-recorded it, posted it on Youtube and Facebook and I didn't know till today. I went to listen and started crying. I can thank my dad for that.
Does anyone know how to post his music on our music player? I know how to post stuff that is just floating around the internet.

100%

I just needed to take a minute to congratulate my husband on his math test, he got 100%. Chase has always struggled with school and learning, so when something like this happens he deserves all the praise that can be given. I'm sure he'll be embarrassed that I shared this on the blog, but that's what he gets, a very proud wife. I do have to say he didn't even show me this paper when he came home, just put it on the fridge for everyone in the family to see, I didn't find it till he'd been home for a few hours.

Hannah Montana

For about a year now Chase has said how much he likes Hannah Montana. I know he is a grown man. It's not her in person or her music, but he really likes her show on the Disney channel. Which I will admit is a good show, it's funny most the time, and can make you smile. About six months ago a signed Hannah Montana poster showed up at our house, come to find out our brother in law Jered had cut the poster out of an ad and signed it himself. Chase had the poster up on the wall in our TV room till Christmas when I needed the space to hang the stockings. I think it will go back up when we move back home. For Valentines Day I decided that Gus would get Chase a card, just to show how much he loved him. Here's the card with Gus' signature. Chase loved, or so I think.
These sticker cards were inside the valentine, they are actually quite funny. I could see some little girls going crazy over them though. I'm sure our niece Teagan will enjoy them when Chase gets bored of them.
